HOW DOES THE ESCAPE ROOM WORK STEP 1: Hand out Team Sheet and set the PowerPoint up on Slide 4 STEP 2: Read out instructions on the team sheet and hand every team the island Puzzle – Let the escape begin STEP 3: As teams complete the puzzle they must come to you to confirm the answer and if successful hand them the key for that room and then click on the next room on the PowerPoint (hand them out that specific rooms puzzle) – STEP 4:Teams will progress through rooms at different stages (this avoids teams copying each other) STEP 5: When a team completes the final ‘Secret Bunker Location ’ they should try to crack the colour coded number lock and say the two secret passwords to you in order to successfully escape TEACHER NOTES - PREPARATION Print 1 Copy of Slide 3 for all six teams – This is there team sheet to record their progress towards the final escape Print the 6 sets of keys on slides 6-11 (cut them up and keep them in six piles) You hand the correct Team colour key out each time they solve that specific rooms puzzle. E.G Blue team solve the Island hand them the island key Print Teacher Answer Sheet x1 copy Print the 7 puzzles (Print 6 copies of each 1 per team) Set PowerPoint up ready to start • TOP TIPS • This can all be done in Black and White but looks better in colour • You don’t have to print the keys but its quite fun to • Printing two puzzles for each team if the teams are larger might be easier • Could allow teams to have a “free Pass’ or a “joker’ to skip by one uncompleted puzzle to enable them to make more progress

You all start in the Island location and when you have correctly solved the puzzle show you teacher and they will give your the Key for that room. • 2. Fill in the Location , the word and the Key pad code on the post-it-note • 3. Your teacher will reveal on the board your next location and give you the puzzle for it. • 4. Repeat the process until you have progressed through all the locations. • 5.
