  3. 传统课本的问题 The texts were pre-determined & unauthentic. The texts became outdated quickly. The genres were monotonous. Leaners had no choice over the texts’ content. A gap existed between printed form-learning and immergence in targeted language.

  4. 新课本的理念 Language form is best learned when the learner’s attention is on meaning. Learners should use real-life language through real-world activities. Teacher-centered classroom should be shifted to learner-centered teaching. Students can join the selection of the texts, genres, and even linguistic forms. Students’ attention should be organized through desireinstead of coercion.
