French Brazilian collaborations can be developed using various tools and funding opportunities • The choice of the supporting program will depend on : • Collaboration domain: • Training • Research • Intensity of the collaboration: • New contact • Existing cooperation which needs to be structured • Research topics • Collaboration perimeter: • Bilateral project • Project involving a larger consortium • Project involving industrial partner(s) • Specific needs of the partners

ERASMUS + Cooperation Programs for Education • Action 1: Joint Master Degrees • Objective: • high-level integrated international program leading to joint or double master degrees • Eligibility criteria: • At least 3 higher education institutions (HEI) from 3 different European countries • Consortium open to HEI from Partner Countries • Integrated Master programs of 60, 90 or 120 ECTS • Mandatory international mobility for the students involved

ERASMUS + Cooperation Programs for Education • Action 1: Joint Master Degrees • Financial support: • 4 to 5 year funding (preparation year + 3 consecutive student intakes) • Program management and academic staff mobility: 20 k€ for the preparatory year(s) + 50 k€ per intake • Student scholarship: up to 25 k€ / student (participation, mobility and subsistence costs) • Between 13 and 20 students per year • About 4 invited professors per year • Total budget : 2 to 3 M€

ERASMUS + Cooperation Programs for Education • Action 2: Strategic Partnerships • Objectives: Implementation of innovative practices leading to high quality teaching, training and learning • Consortium involving HEI, Research institutions, Enterprises,… • At least 3 organizations from 3 different member states • Open to 3rd countries organizations (if their participations brings an essential added value) • 2 to 3 year projects • Total budget : up to 150 k€ per year

ERASMUS + Cooperation Programs for Education • Action 2: Knowledge Alliance • Objectives: Development of the flow and exchange of knowledge between higher education and enterprises • Consortium involving HEI, Research institutions, Enterprises,… • At least 6 organizations from 3 different member states among which at least 2 HEI and 2 enterprises • Open to 3rd countries organizations (if their participations brings an essential added value) • 2 to 3 year projects • Total budget : up to 1 M€ for 3 years

Region Midi-Pyrénées Cooperation Programs for Research • PhD Scholarship Program • Annual call • Contribution of up to 50% of the cost (salary 88k€, environment 30k€) : Co-funding is mandatory • Co-supervision possible • Priority to the following topics: • Sustainable growth (energy and renewable carbon) • Stem cells, bioethics and biotherapy • Advanced and innovative materials • Aging, metabolism and nutrition • Complex systems and big data

Region Midi-Pyrénées Cooperation Programs for Research • Post-doctoral Scholarship Program • Annual call • Contribution of up to 50% of the salary cost (55 k€ / year) : Co-funding is mandatory • The project must concern the following topics: • Sustainable growth (energy and renewable carbon) • Stem cells, bioethics and biotherapy • Advanced and innovative materials • Aging, metabolism and nutrition • Complex systems and big data

University of Toulouse Cooperation Programs for Research • AttractivityChairs • Objective: to attract in Toulouse French or foreign scientist with a high international visibility • Annual call • Recruitment on a permanent position or a contractual position of long-term invited professor. • Cumulative stays in Toulouse of at least 1 year over the 5 years of the project • Up to 1 M€ per project

University of Toulouse Cooperation Programs for Research • Transversality program • Objectives: development of new multi-disciplinary research projects • Centered on research teams from UT but open to external research labs • Typical duration of 2 years • Funding exclusively dedicated to the research project (functioning costs, investments) or for networking. No human ressources costs • Global budget of 480 k€ in 2013

University of Toulouse Cooperation Programs for Research • Emergence program • Objectives: to give a significant impulsion to scientific or technological projects in rupture with "traditional" research axis. • Centered on research teams from UT but can be develop together with external research labs • Typical duration of 2 years • Funding dedicated to the research project (functioning costs, investments) and post-doc salary costs. Management costs are not covered • Global budget of 800 k€ in 2013

Horizon 2020: Marie-Curie Actions Cooperation Programs for Research Individual Fellowships • Objective • enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers • provide opportunities to acquire new knowledge, work on research projects in a European context or outside Europe, resume a career or return to Europe • Scope • Individual, trans-national fellowships awarded to the best or most promising researchers • European Fellowships or Global Fellowships • Expected Impact • release the full potential of researchers and to catalyse significant development in their careers in both the academic and non-academic sectors • strengthen the contact network of the researcher and the host organisation RDI Fundamental Research

Horizon 2020: Marie-Curie Actions Global Fellowships Cooperation Programs for Research Individual Fellowships • Duration of IF Global projects: 3 years • Support to experienced researchers of any nationality (IF Global and IF Reintegration: nationals of EU MS/AC and long-term residents) • Focus on career development, not necessarily experience • Additional 3 or 6 month secondment option, within Europe and in another sector RDI Fundamental Research

Projets CAPES-COFECUB • 4 ans • appui pour des missions liées au développement du projet pour des chercheurs confirmés. • Côté français(COFECUB) • frais de voyage des chercheurs français  vers le Brésil, • frais de séjour des chercheurs brésiliens • bourses de stage d'une durée de 2 mois pour des étudiants français se rendant au Brésil (voyage et séjour des stagiaires français). • Côté brésilien(CAPES) • frais de voyage des chercheurs brésiliens (doctorants et post-doctorants inclus) • frais de séjours des chercheurs français • jusqu'à 4 bourses pour des stages doctoraux (4 à 12 mois), des stages doctoraux en co-tutelle (4 à 18 mois) et des stages post-doctoraux (2 à 12 mois) avec prise en charge des frais de voyage, de couverture sociale et de séjour des stagiaires brésiliens.
