  4. Online Tests and Quizzes • Provides immediate feedback – encouraged by FIP • Create assessments for learning, instead of assessments of learning • Saves time by automatically scoring tests and quizzes

  5. Engaging Format Promotes collaboration, one of the key tenets of AVID’s WICOR Philosophy

  6. Format is easy to use • Format resembles Facebook, which makes it easy to use for both teachers and students

  7. Content and Sharing • Can easily link with Google Docs or • Khan Academy • Perfect for OGT and OAA review • Can be used to create AP Courses

  13. Security • One common concern about online environments and cloud-based software is the safety of students in an online world • Schoology provides administrative tools to help protect students and to customize our Schoology sites for Brooklyn High School

Final thoughts • As a district, we need to decide in which direction we are moving • We currently have teachers who use three different LMS; Schoology can unite these systems to help provide consistency for our students • As more colleges move towards blended learning environments, are we doing all that we can to prepare our students for college?
