  2. 1. When is an Examiner allowed to use self-access standardisation instead of standardising face-to-face with an ET? 2. What will happen if you use a withdrawn certification set when your Examiners recertify? 3. If an Examiner fails 4 attempts at (re)certification (ie fails 2 sets), when will he/she be allowed to retrain? 4. What action should you take when you receive from the EOR team the results of a Jagged Profile that has been 3rd marked by a Senior Examiner?

  3. 5. What would you do if feedback on an EOR for Speaking states that the Examiner failed to follow a number of procedures to the extent that the candidate was “substantially disadvantaged”. 6. What should you do if an Examiner has a record of 5 consecutive Non-Standard A monitoring outcomes for Speaking Procedures? 7. Under what circumstances might an Administrator decide to withdraw an Examiner’s ITE after 3 Non-Standard A monitoring outcomes? 8. Are your Examiners’ monitoring details completely up to date on the database?

  4. 9. How much notice should an Administrator give his/her Examiner Trainer of work that needs to be done at his/her Centre? 10. What should you do when a certificated Examiner from another ‘Home’ Centre asks if s/he can examine at your Centre as well? 11. You have an Examiner registered with you as his/her ‘Home Centre’ but this Examiner has not examined for you for a long time. What should you do?

  5. 12. You have an Examiner whose Writing and Speaking Certification dates have different end dates (e.g. Speaking 2013; Writing 2014). How often do you need to renew this Examiner’s ITE? 13. If you see one of your Examiners being advertised as such on their employer’s website, what should you do? 14. If you are planning to start formal disciplinary proceedings against an Examiner, at what point should you consult your ESC? 15. What would you do if a JP picks up that an Examiner’s phone rang in the middle of a Speaking test?

  6. Bonus Question 16. If you never saw any of your Examiners again, would you miss them?
