Kirsten Laurin-Kovitz • I became an engineer because I like to solve problems • I studied engineering at University of Illinois and Northwestern University • My PhD research at Argonne National Laboratory focused on nuclear reactors and how small changes in the fuel can effect the power output • Currently I use my nuclear engineering knowledge to make the world safer • I travel the world teaching people how to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons http://energy.gov/diversity/articles/women-energy-kirsten-laurin-kovitz
