Necto on Mobile – Key Advantages • Fully secure • Full adherence to the organization’s security • Same authentication as desktop for users and data • No data is stored on the device • Total continuity • Same interface for desktops, laptops, tablets and mobiles • Support all device types and brands and operating systems • Circumvents appstorerestrictions (including logos and branding) • Low utilization of the Tablet CPU and RAM • Free to deploy and use
Setting up the Mobile Server • The Mobile server can reside next to the Necto server or in the DMZ, based on where the mobile devices are • Set up the RDP for multiple connections • On the Windows Server in the Server Manager page add a role for “Remote Desktop Services”. Go through the wizard to add this role. • Add users that are specific for the purpose of Necto Mobile. These users should have no privileges other than browsing. • Add the automated-Necto script listed in the following slide as a .BAT file to the user’s start-up menu
The automated-Necto script • @echo off • cd c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\ • iexplore.exe -k “Necto Server”/panorama/necto.htm • Replace “Necto Server” with your Necto Server URL
Setting up the Necto Visualization Client • Install an RDP client Software • PocketCloud is recommended but other’s are also possible • Set Up the Connection • create a new connection • Enter the following details – • Nickname – choose whichever name you want • Host – as provided for the connection credentials • Username – as provided for the connection credentials • Password - as provided for the connection credentials • Use Necto
