Past projects: Wave generation Implementation of irregular 1st order waves (2D/3D), by superposition Stoke’s 5th order waves (based on Fenton, only wave speed implemented).
Past projects: Wave analysis in 3D • Implementation of EMLM based on Maximum Likelihood estimate. • Very fast (no iteration), but tends to overestimate the width of the directional spreading. • Implementation of BDM based on the Bayesian approach • Slow..ish (regression analysis), but very accurate compared to EMLM. • Both methods are very versatile, supporting various probe types (elevation, velocity, heave, pitch, roll etc.).
Past projects: Wave analysis in 3D Comparison, based on IAHR test data. My BDM impl. Wavelab BDM impl. My (E)MLM impl. Simple Narrow spread Incident+ Reflected
Past projects: Evaluation of wave array layout Attempt at creating method usable to determine reliability of wave gauge layout. Based on traditional layouts (cerc5 and cerc6) in comparison with wave gauge arrays of different types. Unfortunately questionable results where found when comparing developed method with simulated results.
Future projects: Wave forces on offshore structure • Probably: Calculation of wave forces on vertical cylinder and buoy type structures. • Maybe: Wave prediction in 2D/3D, irregular waves. • Maybe: Wave-in-deck forces on Jacket type structure.
