Through Fear of God • Proverbs 19:23 • A good meal, a new “set” of clothes, a new car; all give a sense of well being. A thrill that satisfies for a moment. • There are less “expensive”, yet just as real paths to contentment. God teaches them. • “The reward of a job well done is to have done it.”
Through A Desire for Righteousness • Matt. 5:6 • We hunger for success, riches, fame. • Our point of view is shortsighted – Col. 3:2 • I Pet. 2:2; Heb. 5:12-14 • God promises to “Fill” us.
