Group Skills Training-4 Modules • Core Mindfulness Skills: taking control of the mind, I/E, balance, middle road • Interpersonal Effectiveness:assertiveness and relationship stability skills • Distress Tolerance: coping skills to manage stress • Emotional Regulation: Skills to assist in managing painful emotions

About Dr. Rafanello EDUCATION / LICENSURE TRAINING IN DBT Has been providing DBT skills training groups and individual therapy since 2003 Managed a female inpatient unit at St. Elizabeths Hospital in D.C. utilizing DBT techniques including skills training groups, behavioral management techniques, and approach to the milieu Provided supervision to interns and post-doctoral residents on DBT skills training groups, therapy, and risky behavior management Completed 5-day intensive training in DBT with Drs. Wagner and Waltz of Behavioral Tech • MA and Ph.D. Fordham University, NY-clinical psychology • MA Seton Hall University, NJ-psychological studies • BA University of Pennsylvania, PA-English/Psychology • Pre and Post-doctoral internship/residency-St. Elizabeths Hospital, D.C. • Licensed in D.C. since 2006
