  2. Data Import– 2 steps 1. Obtain a blank Access template and a SSURGO format dataset 2. Import the SSURGO dataset into the Access template

  3. Select Survey Area

  4. Soil Data Mart – obtain template & SSURGO dataset

  5. E-mail Notification

  6. Import SSURGO Dataset • Unzip the file, extract all text files into an empty folder • Copy of the blank template also into this folder • Detailed instructions in file named “Using NASIS Exports” http://nasis.nrcs.usda.gov/products/

  7. Import Extracted Files

  8. Access will import and sort the raw data

  9. Manuscript Reports - select desired map units or all

  10. Select desired report using drop down menu

  11. Click “Generate Report”

  12. Export to MS Word or print from within Access

  13. Some reports require you to select parameters

  14. Select desired crops; then, click on the “Generate Report”

Table B6 – Land Capability Classification: displays IRR & NIRR capability with component percent 3 & 4. Tables C3 & C4: expanded information on composition and production of understory and commonly occurring trees
