  2. Fine Arts Program rated Recognized The Fine Arts program at Longoria Elementary consists of participation in Music classes year round. In addition, our 4th and 5th grade students are able to participate in two UIL events, Music Memory and Art Memory. R. Longoria Elementary

  3. Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Recognized Students, teachers and parents participate in different wellness and physical education events throughout the year. R. Longoria Elementary

  4. Community and Parental Involvement rated Acceptable Brownsville Police Department We have been working to increase our Community and Parental involvement in our school. Our students received backpacks from the Brotherhood of Faith, the Brownsville Police Department and the Salazar Insurance Group. Brotherhood of Faith R. Longoria Elementary

  5. 21st Century Workforce Development rated Acceptable Students participated in Career Day events held at Longoria Elementary. Our Pre-Kinder students and our life skills students visited the Brownsville/South Padre Island Airport. R. Longoria Elementary

  6. Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Exemplary Dropout prevention strategies were implemented throughout the year. R. Longoria Elementary

  7. Second Language Acquisition Program Recognized Longoria Elementary provided all ELL students with the necessary tools to increase their academic achievement. R. Longoria Elementary

  8. Digital Learning Environment rated Recognized Longoria Elementary supports technology integration into the classroom and is working to increase this component. R. Longoria Elementary

  9. Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized Longoria Elementary provided Gifted and Talented students with the necessary tools to increase their academic achievement. R. Longoria Elementary
