  3. “I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. I cry to you, Lord; I say, ‘You are my Refuge, my portion in the land of the living.

  4. Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for the are too strong for me.” Psalm 142:4-6

  5. David submitted his ambitions to God

  6. “Set me free from my prison, that I may praise Your Name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of Your goodness to me.” Psalm 142:7

  7. “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul.” Matthew 16:26

  8. David submitted his emotions to God

  9. “I cry aloud to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy. I pour out before Him my complain; before Him I tell my trouble.” Psalm 142:1-2

  10. “When my spirit grows faint within me, it is You who watch over my way.” Psalm 142:3

  11. I cry to YOU…” Psalm 142:5
