College Admissions Standardized Testing • SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Tests • Range of scores is 200 to 800 on each test, equals 2400 • Areas tested – Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing • Cost is Approx. $51 (depending on what you want), Subject Tests $24.50, $13 per additional test • Register by deadline – best to register online at www.sat.collegeboard.org • Send scores directly to colleges or institutions ($11.25 per score) • MHM School Code is 430-893(AKA: CEEB Code)
ACT – American College Test • Alternative standardized admissions test • Accepted at most colleges in lieu of SAT and SAT Subject Tests • Range of scores is 1 to 36 • Areas tested include english, math, reading, and science. Writing is an option. • Cost: $36.50, with Writing $52.50 • Register online at www.actstudent.org • First four score reports free! • $12.00 fee to send scores after test to college
