Why management of technology? • What is so important about this topic that we have a required course on it? • What do we mean by the word “technology”?
Exercise • What is your favorite piece of technology? • Why is it your favorite? • Write on a piece of paper with your name and e-mail address to hand in.
Important themes in innovation • Control: We like stuff that gives us more control over day to day activities • Time: We like things that help us carve a few more minutes or seconds out of the day • Examples of these themes?
