  2. Where do koalas live and why do they live there? Koalas are very picky eaters. They eat only leaves from eucalyptus trees. Koalas can live only in the eucalyptus forests found in Australia.

  3. Zoos have tried to keep koalas but had limited success. This is because fresh eucalyptus leaves are not easy to provide. This is especially not true in the northern climates. The zoos in the United States that have housed koalas for the lion gest tine all are in Caifornia.

  4. The koala was once hunted by the millions for its fur. then the governments passed the laws to protect it . But the koala is still threatened by disease and the loss of its natural habitat.
