Purpose • Provide additional tools for elementary school science educators to • Enhance science education information • Integrate watershed, natural resources and environmental education with science and socio-economic aspects
Relevance to Environmental Education and Missouri Show-Me-Standards The Web-based information will assist educators enhance students’ proficiency of knowledge, skills and competencies – activities are correlated with proficiencies listed in the Missouri Show-Me Standards: • Enhance awareness and knowledge about natural resources and environmental benefits • Facilitate development of skills, as children grow older, to identify and prevent nonpoint source pollution
Target Audiences • 4-8th Grade Science, Environmental and Agricultural Educators • 4-8th Grade Students • Interested local citizens

Implementation • Workshops (for teachers) in Southwest and North East Missouri regions • 2/3 undergraduate/graduate hours offered to those interested from local universities (NE- Truman State University; SW – Southwest Missouri State University • Participants – will be asked to apply learned material and provide feedback • Local watershed newsletters and brochures are being developed for individual watersheds
