The EPM formula E = empathize P = Pinpoint problems M = move forward and work toward a solution together
Receiving criticism Anticipate - ask “what can I learn or how can I improve?” Loss of self-worth is a choice. Ask Questions - so you understand Agree - with something Analyze - think before you respond. Have the intention to resolve positvely
Learning form criticism • Look for facts • understanding their perception of you helps you deal with them effectively (remember 4th SDI premise) • Sometimes it is a personality difference (Motivational Value System)
