OPERATING GUIDELINES FOR AEDS • BE FAMILIAR WITH YOUR AED • MAKE SURE BATTERIES ARE GOOD & CARRY EXTRAS • FOLLOW LOCAL PROTOCOLS • MAKE SURE THAT NO ONE IS IN CONTACT WITH PATIENT OR CABLES WHEN ANALYZING OR SHOCKING
DO NOT APPLY TO A PATIENT WITH A PULSE, SHOCK COULD CAUSE HEART TO STOP. • DO NOT USE ON PATIENTS UNDER 8 YEARS OF AGE OR PATIENTS THAT WEIGH UNDER 90 LBS.
