1. Literacy ICT The class will be focussing on preparing a Year 6 Memory Book and story books for Key Stage 1 to practice their fiction and non-fiction writing skills. We will using all of our learned ICT skills to produce leaflets and write our Memory Book. Numeracy Science We will be focussing on all aspects of the Numeracy Curriculum as we focus on a Transfer Unit of work, ‘Spirals’. We will be reflecting on some of our Science learning and linking it to our D & T to produce models of Fairground Rides. Music R.E. Year 6 Summer Term We will be rehearsing and practicing our end of year production; singing is central to this! This term the children will learn about beginnings in Christianity and Sikhism. PSHE Art Year 6 will be learning about Moving On as a part of our preparation for transfer to Secondary School. We will be using Design Technology and Art skills to begin to create models and parts of our End of Year Learning Challenge show. Humanities P.E. We will use Geography & History to help with our Learning Challenge, focussing on the historical elements to the Olympics, and its geography. The class will be practicing Kwik Cricket skills, working towards a Class Kwik Cricket championship. Learning Challenge 6: ‘Could I Be An Olympic Champion?’
