  17. SustainableSolid Waste Management Financing Program The SWM Financing Program is designed primarily to assist the local government units (LGUs) and private enterprises in the development and implementation of their respective solid waste management programs and projects. www.dbp.ph

ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT Amount and Funding Source The Environmental Development Project (EDP) is a Y 24.846 billion (about PhP 10 billion) policy-based lending facility from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) intended mainly to support viable and environmentally-sound investment projects. www.dbp.ph

KEY FEATURES Eligible Borrowers • Private Enterprises/Corporations • Local Government Units (LGUs), Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and other Government Agencies (where allowed) • Cooperatives/Associations • Private Financial Institutions (PFIs)/ Microfinance Institutions (MFIs)

Terms and Conditions Repayment Term Up to fifteen (15) years inclusive of a maximum of five (5) years grace period Indicative Interest Rate • Prevailing Market Rate • Fixed throughout the loan period Equity Requirement • Private Enterprises/Corporations • minimum of 20% • LGUs/GOCCs • minimum of 10%
