19 September 2010Bless Our Schools Sunday • Moms In Touch International is a prayer ministry that brings moms together to pray for children and schools in 120 countries. (www.MomsinTouch.org) • For the Students: Pray that Christian students will stand firm in their faith, showing God’s love on campus and leading others to Christ. • For the Staff: Pray for unity and high moral standards among the teachers, administrators, school board and support staff. • For Safety: Pray that God’s hand of protection will be upon the students, school and staff.

MBC Membership Orientation Meeting • When: Sunday, September 26, 2-4 pm • Where: The Smith Center on 1st Floor. • Why: To learn how to become a member of MBC. • Great opportunity to gain Pastor Lon Solomon’s perspective of what we believe and stand for at MBC. • A prerequisite for membership, but also a non-binding opportunity • Learn about all that goes on here.
Congregational Meeting • When: Monday, September 27 at 7:30 pm • Where: The Smith Center on 1st Floor. • Why: Members/non-members are invited • To receive an update on MBC church business, to include Jill’s House • To vote on critical church issues (members) • Let’s give thanks to our the Elders, Executive Leadership Team and MBC Staff as they are diligently reviewing the budgetary & management challenges in preparation for this meeting.
Prayer/Praise Request • Circulating a card for Jim Fondren – who is incarcerated in Allentown, PA. • Want to keep him in our prayers and to offer encouragement. • Please submit your personal prayer request(s) for God’s intervention to address your burdens or concerns, as well as any praises to Him. • Prayer cards are on your tables.
