  3. Who are the people involved in MDT research? Research Review Committee (RRC) Sponsor Technical Panel (TP) Champion Research Staff Field Research Coordinators (FRC) Principal Investigator (PI) RESEARCH PROGRAMS

  4. Research Review Committee Composition (15) Director Deputy Director Chief Officers (3) Division Administrators (6) One District Administrator Research Program Manager (chair) FHWA WTI Research Director RESEARCH PROGRAMS

  5. Research Review Committee Role Determines which research projects move forward to technical panels Reviews technical panel recommendations for each project Reviews and approves scopes of work Approves funding for all research projects Reviews implementation recommendations RESEARCH PROGRAMS

  6. Sponsor High level MDT staff person Agrees the project is necessary Willing to ensure results are implemented Signs on to the project RESEARCH PROGRAMS
