  2. Development Tools • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 C# • MySQL (using phpmyadmin as an interface) • Adobe Photoshop

  3. Business Consideration I • Many election games on the market, mostly are based in the USA • Mostly Single player or multiplayer via LAN

  4. Business Consideration II • We wanted something different • Fun and light hearted • Game suited for all ages • Easy to get in and play with not much knowledge of politics

  5. Registration • Player need to register an account to play President Gusta • Free to join.

  6. Gameplay I • Simulate the election campaign with interaction between multiple candidates. • Participate in activities, such as, advertising, fundraising and etc. • Garner as much popularity votes before the end of all turns • But that won’t guarantee the winner

  7. Gameplay II • Money and stamina, 2 of important component • Dependent on each candidate • Stamina consumption would vary between activities and candidates • Stamina would re-generate at each new week/round. • Poor management of fund and stamina would lead in the loss of turns and inevitably the loss of supporters.

  8. Characters • 5 characters and their initial funds to choose from each with characteristic of their own The Sports Man $70,000 The Visionary $80,000 The “War” Man $90,000 The Lawyer $100,000 The “Yes We Can” Man $100,000

Characters Features • Varied initial funds depending on candidate • Fixed amount of stamina. 150HP • Depending on the character characteristic, stamina regenerations would vary • For example, sports man would generate more stamina due to his active nature and young age. • Funds could be earned through fund raising

  11. Activities I • Positive and Negative Campaigning • No fixed increment of popularity with activities • Dependent on candidate’s characteristic.

  12. Activities II (Positive Campaigning) • Fund Raising • Donation • Concert • Advertisement • Speech • Posters/Flyers • Television • Debate • Mini-game (quiz)

  13. Activities III (Negative Campaigning) • Leak Scandals • Leak scandals of other candidate • Fake News • Tell news that can cause other candidates to look bad • Fear Mongering

  14. Chat Box • Users are able to chat with the other users that are online. • Main game lobby, while waiting for host to start, in-game.

  15. Game Play Demo • Simulation of the game. • From registration to main game play with 2-3 players.
