Century21.com IDX for .com overview July 14, 2011
Interim response to latest NAR ruling • On May 14, 2011, NAR made a substantive change the IDX Indexing policy • Introduced an opt-in provision if brokers want to allow their listings to be displayed on the national websites of real estate franchisors • To ensure full compliance with this latest NAR policy, we discontinued indexing IDX listings on June 13 • After monitoring the performance of the site for a whole month Lead conversion dipped below pre-indexing levels • This demonstrates the importance of a superior website experience to consumers as opposed to delivering an average search experience that hands-off to all the listings
IDX Classic Search effective July 14 • Realogy listings will be the default search results presented • IDX listings will be accessible via one more click to our local broker's IDX-compliant websites provided by eNeighborhoods. • A user path will be available to go to IDX directly if a consumer so chooses but the default search path will be Realogy listings first • Realogy shared listings leads will follow area served rules • IDX office handoffs will follow area served rules to rotate between IDX enabled offices
