  1. Newton’s three laws By Cameron Stacks Katana Soberano

  2. Kinetic Energy • Kinetic energy is energy in motion. • Kinetic energy can be transferred from one object to another. • An example is a bowling ball goes down the lane it hits the pins the energy is transferred to the pins and they fall • There are four forms of kinetic energy sound , thermal , mechanical , and electrical

  3. Potential energy • Potential energy is energy that is stored in an object. • Potential energy can be turned into kinetic energy. • There are 3 kinds of potential energy which are chemical, elastic, and mechanical. • An example is an apple on the tree.

  4. Potential into kinetic energy no magic included • A few examples: a rock getting ready to fall has potential mechanical energy when it falls it has kinetic energy • when a bow and arrow is not being pulled it has potential energy, but when its pulled and released it has kinetic energy

  5. Mechanical Energy • Mechanical Energy is a part of both potential and kinetic energy • When an apple drops, potential energy decreases, kinetic increases, and mechanical stays the same. • When an apple hits the ground, mechanical energy turns into kinetic energy
