Why should I play a sport or join a club? • According to US News and world Reports, 55.5% of High School Students play a sport. • 40-50% join an academic, music or business club (FFA ) while in high school as well. • Sports and Clubs help students feel they belong and connected to their school.

So, You want to start a club? What now? • APPLICATION FOR CLUB CHARTER Club Advisor: _____________________________________ Phone/Ext. ___________________ Name of Club: ___________________________________ ___ New Club ___ Existing Club • Application Procedure: • 1. Complete both sides of the Application for Club Charter. • 2. Attach a copy of your club constitution and a list of members. • 3. Submit Application to the ASB for approval. • 4. Student Council will review the application and take action. • 5. A copy of the application will be returned to the Club Advisor. • 6. Once the club is approved, meetings can be arranged and fundraisers can be conducted.
Requirements for Clubs • Requirements of School-Sponsored Clubs: • 1. Must be organized at the school and hold the majority of their meetings on campus. • 2. Must have a certificated advisor. • 3. Must be composed entirely of Elsinore High Students. • 4. Must have a democratic plan for electing officers. • 5. Must participate in at least one community service during the school year.
