  2. What is a Compére • A Compére not only involves steering the show smoothly to a memorable finish, but also to keep the audience informed and interested till the very end. Being associated with a large number of events in a variety of disciplines while pursuing my PG Diploma in Event Mgmt only made me realize how important a good host is for the success of any event. • Hosting shows has been a passion since my childhood where I began with the local society Ganesh Festivals and simple things like reading the prayers in the school assembly. Then came hosting school and college functions, family weddings and parties. • I slowly moved on to birthday parties and entertainment events. Over the years, I have built the confidence to host shows of any caliber, category and class. I now specialize in Corporate, Entertainment and Fashion events. • I am about to start living my dream of becoming a news reader as I start with my first free lancing English and Marathi news reading assignment in July 2010.

About Me • P G Diploma in Event Management. • Formally trained on US and British English Voice and Accent. • Professionally trained and certified on Public Speaking. • A Language & Product Trainer by profession. • Fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi. • To start with my own fashion feature on a new News Channel being launched in Pune in July 2010.
