Typical Cross-Registration Guidelines • Must Have Approval of Home Institution • Student Must Be in Good Standing • Tuition Will Be Paid to Home Institution • Student Must Abide by the Rules and Regulations of the Host Institution • There is a Limit to the Number of Credits That Can Be Taken
Is It Widely Used? • Most Academic Consortia in the United States Have Cross Registration • The Number of Students Using Cross Registration Varies with the Consortium, but It Is Substantial
Have New Registration Systems Enhanced Cross Registration? • If Colleges are Using the Same Software, Cross Registration is Enhanced • If They are Not Using Similar System, Manual Override Is Required (if Possible) and Efficiencies May be Less i.e. Banner and PeopleSoft
