AdjectivesasPredicates p.126 • A normal sentence Subject + Predicate 我是高兴。她是好。 • Such adjectives are NOT preceded by 是, often preceded by 很 • 我很高兴。她很好。那个电视很好。姚明很高。 • When forming a negative statement,很can be omitted • 我不高兴。她不好。 • When forming a question, 很can be omitted • 你的大学(很)大吗? • When adjective used as predicate, 很is NOT the same as “very” in English • Ex. 1.~8.
