  2. A flat is a self-contained housing unit and is only a part of the building. Earlier there was no concept of flats as the land was in abundance or the population was low. There used to be a stand-alone houses that belonged to a specific individual and his family. They were the lord of that land and could build as many floors as they wanted. The property solely belonged to the homeowner.

  3. Now the time has changed. India ranks second in the race of population in the world. It has touched the figure of billion and constitutes 17 % of population the world is only 2% below China. So, it is obvious to face the scarcity of land here. Flats in India is saves space and accommodates a number of families in a small ground are where earlier only one family used to stay. Traditional houses have taken the shape of long erected buildings that seems to be touching the sky. On each floor, it has a number of self-contained housing units. Each unit is called flat or apartment that promises to give all those comforts that our forefathers had in their standalone houses.

  4. More and more buildings are constructed as the population is also increasing and this increase is happening exponentially. There is a tremendous demand, but the supply is constrained. Thanks to government's new policies where now it will be easy for small builders to get loan from banks at lower rates. Earlier they had to go to the nonbanking financial units who used to charge very high interest rates even more than the double of what a bank charges. This might be a reason why the price of flats in Mumbai increased tremendously in a very short span of time.

  5. Fine! the loan rates for builders are decreased now but what about the price that has standardized and is not willing to go down now? There is continuous need of construction of low budget houses in India. We can also utilize the land connecting between the cities which are left abandoned. Also, there is a very high concentration of population in the metropolitan cities. People leave there villages and come to cities in the search of opportunity. This also has led to the problem of increasing demand of houses. There is seen a revolution in the construction of flats in India . Now the luxury that you had in stand alone houses is now possible to have in flats. Builder really doing great job in creating a luxurious home to you.
