Activity 1 • Read and discuss Chester Zoos induction process (refer to the previous slide and handout) • What are the advantages of this program to a Chester Zoo employee? • What are the advantages of this program from the businesses point of view? • EXTENSION – What are the Disadvantages to such a rigorous induction program?

Some samples are available if you need help Activity 2 Plan an induction programme for a new business studies teacher at Hanson School • This would be a formal document and must be produced showing timings, the date and the content of the training, who it is with, where to meet etc. TIPS! What would a teacher need to know on her/his first days at school, what would they need to be shown?, what would they need to learn how to do? Think put our systems at the school etc
