  1. Anticipation to 7 • This weekend I am staying at Three Oaks. Yesterday the grown-ups said that we were going to the beach today if the sun was shining. The sun is shining today so I think we shall go. Next

  2. Glad to 7 • At breakfast the grown-ups said we are going to the beach and that we can go swimming. Next

  3. Disappointed to 9 • When we arrived at the beach the flag was not hoisted. The wind was too strong and there were huge waves. Next

  4. Sad to 4 and angry to 5 • I felt annoyed and irritable so I wanted to go home and play my • The grown-ups said we could build a sandcastle and play beach volley ball. Next

  5. Angry to 8 • I didn’t bother playing. I got angry and kicked the sand so that it showered everybody. Next

  6. Surprised to 5, glad to 5 • The grown-ups said nothing about me kicking the sand. They called us for lunch. They had found a nice sheltered place. All the children got their lunch and sat down. Next

  7. Glad to 8 • I got my favourite sandwiches. Everyone was sitting on their towel eating their lunch. All had their favourite sandwiches and a soda. I was now in a much better mood. Next

  8. Glad to 8 • After lunch one of the grown-ups tossed a ball out on the beach. I am good at beach volley ball. I was first to get to the ball and then we played. Next

  9. Cross to 9 • At 2.0 p.m. the grown-ups said we had to go home. I got really cross. I wanted to stay at the beach. Next

  10. Content to 7 • Then I was allowed to sit next to the driver on the way home. I like that. I am able to reach the CD player and I get to decide which songs we will listen to. CLOSE
