Definitions • Steward-One who manages another's property, finances, or other affairs. An Old English term for manager. • Stewardship-The responsibility of managing some assets or affairs or property of someone else’s.
2 Peter 1:1-4 Definition: Materialism-The theory or attitude that physical well-being and worldly possessions constitute the greatest good and highest value in life. A great or excessive regard for worldly concerns.

Two Stewardship Principles: • God owns it all. Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:26. • God trusts you to manage it. Genesis 1:28 and Genesis 2:15.

God’s Promise To Provide For Us • “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 • If I ask for his help. • If I learn to be content. • If I practice giving in faith.
Warning Signs Of Financial Trouble • Living on credit instead of paying cash. • Delaying payments or paying the minimum due. • Are unable to tithe or save. • Are unable to pay taxes. • Are an extravagant spender. • 6. Looking for get rich quick schemes or ideas.
How To Avoid Financial Trouble • Tithe. • Keep good records. • Plan your spending. • Save for the future. • Enjoy what you have.
How To Get Financially Healthy • Commit to becoming debt free now. • Start paying God and yourself first. • List all that you own and owe. • Have a sale or sow it into someone’s life. • Set up a repayment plan.
How To Get Financially Healthy • 6. Decide how to do it in half the time. • 7. Add no new debt. • Develop a budget for saving • and spending.
