Golden Leaf Opportunities for Workers (GLOW) grant received from Golden Leaf to furnish vocational shop $85,000 in grant dollars • Carpentry Fundamentals • Machining Basics • Gunsmithing Tools • Cabinetmaking • Intro to Construction • Latest project will involve collaboration with Interact Club/Rotary/Habitat for Humanity

  5. Project Skill Up Agriculture Grant received in 2010 to sponsor students adversely affected by decline of tobacco industry. Received grant from Tobacco Trust 2009-$15,000 2010- $10,000 • Beekeeping • QuickBooks for farmers and their family members • Bookkeeping Basics • Community Supported Agriculture • Website Design

  6. Graphic Arts paved the way for new computers, additional SMART board, and another grant opportunity........ • 3 SMART boards in building • Purchased mobile laptop carts • CTP grant • received in July 2010 for $19,500

  7. Fall 2010 EMT-Basic class started for Jones Sr High School December 10-Active Shooter Simulation Drill/Exercise at LCC with Sheriff’s Dept, Emergency Management, Trenton Fire Department, East Care, and EMT students from Jones Senior High School

  8. Beauty is a Beast held in November 2010 Approx. 1300 people in attendance $8,500 for the Foundation and people are STILL buying calendars and DVDs of the performance Mark YOUR calendars for November 4, 2011
