Here is the first shot taken in the clip. Johnny is walking towards the side of the stage with a microphone. He is getting ready for the final dance in Dirty Dancing. At this moment, he is wearing his jacket. This is a wide shot as we can see width to width from the clip. On the stage, we are shown high key lighting.
In this shot, the lights have dimmed which emphasises low key lighting that something is about to start. In the left hand corner, we can see Johnny begin to take off his jacket. This is the start of match on action. Again this is a wide shot as we can still see him in the corner and the centre with Baby standing there.
This shows discontinuity because Johnny is shown with his jacket on again. However, this does not show continuity in match on action as the filming has not followed from the previous shot from the clip. This does not flow from the previous shot. This is a two man shot because there are two people in the shot.
Lastly, he is taking off his jacket again which we have already seen before in a different part of the clip. For the viewer, this can cause confusion as they will think they have just seen him taking of his jacket. This is a two man shot again as it is showing the two same individuals.
