Facts Lenni-Lenape were divided among speakers of three major dialects Nanticoke did not like European intrusion , they were against this as early as the 1650 The European relied on the Lenni-Lenape to settle disputes with other tribes In the 1740’s the English colonial government restricted the Nanticoke from living in Delmarva The Name Nanticoke means “Tidewater people” I found one similarity between the two tribes was that they shared one dialect , that is why eventually the two tribes combined to make one big tribe called the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape tribe
Differences The Nanticoke only spoke one language , the Lenni-Lenape spoke 3 languages The Lenni-Lenape were alies with the Europeans , but the Nanticoke were not Lenni-Lenape had great hospitality towards the Europeans but the Nanticoke didn’t
