Health Insurance Assessment

1. Health Insurance Assessment Objectives: TSWBAT apply content learned during the health insurance lesson to analyze policies for a given profile and for themselves.

2. Reading a Health Policy • North Penn School District Health Insurance Policies for Employees • Plan A & B = PPO • Plan C = HMO • There are different rates in-network vs. out-of-network • Premiums are not listed – depends on how many people are on the plan and extra coverage added (dental, vision, major medical, etc.)

4. Assessment • CELL PHONES = 0/25 to start the 3rd Quarter • during and after the test • I’m if you listen to music – low volume with one earbud in and one earbud out • Assessment: • DO NOT highlight and write on the policy handout • Scrap paper is provided if you feel you need it • The assessment is open notes AND done individually. • You may not talk but you can use your notes and ‘common sense’ to complete it. • Ask questions or help from Mrs. P if you need it!! • When you are done: • Hand in the assessment, policy and scrap paper to the bin when you are done • Please take a mid-term review worksheet – • We will go over this worksheet next class • Mid-term is in two class meetings (second grade of the 3rd quarter)
