Harmonizer Positive Role: • a person who tries to build good relationships among team members Possible Negative Role: • more concerned that the group is getting along rather than what is gettingdone
Leader • takes responsibility for moving the team forward • keeps the team focused and on task • delegates responsibilities • able to pick out the good ideas that have been presented to get the group going again
Coordinator • organizes team resources • organizes responsibilities
Encourager • praises other people’s ideas • helps others make significant contributions • good listener/truly interested in helping the group • leaves his/her ego at the door/sees the bigger picture
Seeker • asks questions • gets clarification
Initiator • gets things moving by making suggestions/ offering solutions • restates problem/solution to make it clearer • idea person
Distracter • turns attention away from the team’s primary goal • wanders from subject
Avoider • refuses to actively participate • daydreams/ withdraws
Innovator • has creative ideas
Blocker • rejects ideas/always finds something wrong • argues and makes excuses • refuses to cooperate and blocks team progress
Dominator • interrupts others • uses intimidation to discourage people to share • thinks his/her way is the only way
Peacemaker • helps the team deal with conflict • serves as a mediator
