Tracking PeopleSoft Patches@UCF • Keep a Microsoft Access database that holds which patches we have applied and when • Updated via saving PeopleSoft’s own web page and running a program that collects the needed information from that page and merging with Access database • Use a collection of programs to track COBOL, Datamover, SQR’s, and SQC’s files
Tracking PeopleSoft Patches@UCF • Bundle many PeopleSoft Patches together. • Apply patches individually to DMO database • Insert Projects in to ‘BIG’ project. • Apply ‘BIG’ project to local databases
Sofware Needed • Gnu AWK • RCS - Revision Control System, originally developed at Purdue on UNIX. I have a version which was ported to NT • WinRCS - Windows Interface to RCS • Microsoft Access • IE5/Netscape 4.6 • UCF locally written .BAT programs
