Harsh. And 6 Bal Karyakars did liquid for 89hr. • Yesh is our group 2 Balak. His mom and dad are not swaminarayan. Mid August 2009 he was given the walk-a-thon pledge form to raise money to help the American Cancer Society. For the next 3 week he did not come to mandir. Then September 20th he came to mandir with the walk-a-thon pledge form. We asked him why he didn’t come to mandir for the last 3 weeks. His answer was ,“my father died 2 weeks ago." He gave the pledge • form with $205.55 and $11 for Small Hands Big Hearts project, with a smile. He did not tell any of • his friends or anybody that his dad had passed away. Two of the balika, age 8 & 9, took the message to heart. When her mother suggested they go to garba at one of the outside locations, she refused and said that she was not allowed. Her mother listened and brought her to mandir garba only. • One balika, 7 year old, her parents are not Swaminarayan satsangi, and when she said she could not attend • summer shibir even though she wanted to. The Main Sanchalak went to speak to the parents. They • mentioned normal issues as to why she couldn't attend. The amazing thing was that they said she started • doing puja every morning on her own, and does is it because she learned about it during sabha.
