Predictions Predicted academic performance Communication skills Declaration of good character All required information completed Personal Qualities Compassion, empathy, understanding Numeracy & Literacy
Selection process • Partnership with Service Users and Carers • Partnership with practice staff • Small group activity to assess communication skills and understanding of the profession • Selection interview • Numeracy and Literacy testing
Funding for NHS programmes • NHS bursaries are made up of: • full payment of tuition fees • £1 000 grant from NHS • bursary from NHS • Maintenance Loan from Student Finance • England
Funding for Social Work programme The social work bursary was introduced by the Department of Health as an incentive to train in social work. All eligible applicants receive a non-income assessed basic grant. The position will be reviewed for entry in 2013
