By Jesse Garcia What is the reaction between bakingsoda and vinegar.
purpose • To find out the chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar.
procedure • First you get baking soda and vinegar • Then you can make a volcano out of modeling clay • Let the volcano dry • Put the baking soda in first then vinegar • Wait for results
Materials • Baking soda • Vinegar • Modeling clay • Paper towels. • cup
Hypothesis if I pour the vinegar on the baking soda a chemical reaction should happen. I think that it will fizz all over the volcano. Because it has a chemical reaction.
Procedure • First I gathered my materials: baking soda, vinegar, a cup, and a funnel. • I put the measured correct amount of baking soda in the cup for each experiment. • Then I put in the measured amount of vinegar in the cup. • Stand back and watch the explosion!
Results • I discovered that the more baking soda and vinegar you put in the greater the explosion.
conclusion • My hypothesis was supported the reaction was awesome the .volcano exploded with a vinegary smell
Future Considerations • I would put in the same amount of baking soda and vinegar to see if there is different reaction
