WHERE? • 1921 – Publish first story • 1930 – Hughes Estrangement(disagree the authority of the play) • July 1939 – Federal writers Project Record African-American culture in Florida • 1959 – Suffer a stroke and was force to move into the St. Lucie Country welfare home. • Jan. 28, 1960 – Died from hypertensive heart disease.

  5. WHY? • Managed to surmount every obstacles to become one of the most profound authors of the century and became her most important pieces of fiction still stands.

  6. HOW? By writing books about her emotional and physical loneness. Began to write short stories by telling stories about men and women, love and hate understanding, and many more.
