CUMP 2012 • Initiative is important! • Matching • Based on your career interests as far as possible • (Not just by referring to the current position of the mentor, but to its past experience as well) • Undertaking • See http://cpdc.osa.cuhk.edu.hk/files/student/programmes-workshops/CUMP/Mentees'_Undertaking_2012.doc and read through it • Return the signed copy to Student Services Centre by 17:00, 13 Jan 2012 (Fri), if you have not done so during the briefing session • Action plan and quarterly reports (Just a one-pager!) • Ref of last year: http://cpdc.osa.cuhk.edu.hk/files/student/programmes-workshops/CUMP/Action_plan_and_Q1_quarterly_report.doc

CUMP 2012 • New Year Party • Date: 19 January 2012 (Thu) • Time: 6pm – 7pm • Please arrive by 5:30pm the latest, as some mentors may arrive early. • Venue: LT6, Lee Shau Kee Building • Dress code: Formal (say, suit) • Indicate your availability by filling in http://cloud.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/osa/cpdc/embed.php?id=31 by 17:00, 13 January (Fri) the latest.

CUMP 2012 • After receiving details of your mentor: • May google him / her (don’t just look at the current position) • Contact him / her • Introduce yourself • Ask / confirm if he / she will be coming to the party • If the answer is “yes”, may offer help in showing the direction, e.g. by asking him / her to call you when he / she is nearby • Otherwise, arrange a make-up meeting • Get to know your ‘teammates’ (i.e. those having the same mentor) • Preparation of New Year Party 2013 • Your participation would be required, e.g. in preparing for video show / performance • Our team will contact you in due course
