Treasure Report and 2012-2013 Budgets Budget based on last year Expenses and Income Plan reported to AIAA as part of annual requirement Expenses have been budgeted in groups of council members so they know what is available this year Some budget held back for discretionary or unplanned expenses – generally subject to Council vote

Greater HSV Share Point • Sharepoint is available for file sharing among Section • Files can be uploaded by any Section Council member • Viewing of most files is available to AIAA members who log in to our web site • Viewing of “Private Section Documents” limited to Council members only • Can contain such things as • Treasurer Reports • Monthly membership reports • Link: Home - Greater Huntsville Section

Some Ideas for Discussion • Membership • Methods to attract and retain • Possible use of PayPal records for membership encouragement • Review other section awards/reports in this area; contact AIAA national for ideas • Eric’s ideas from the AIAA Membership Webinar • Young Professionals • Area targeted by Mike Griffin as most vulnerable to losses • Student AIAA Members fail to join AIAA as professionals or drop out quickly • Suggest sub-committee be established; review other section awards/reports in this area; contact AIAA national for ideas • Combine with Career Enhancement Activities

Some Ideas for Discussion • Pre-College Outreach • Expand focus beyond HSV area • Contact AIAA Educator Associate Members in our Section area - Educator Associate Membership • Expand “Engineers as Educators” • Encourage Section Membership • Deploy to Schools, Space Camp • Participate on Board of Huntsville Association Technical Societies (HATS) • Student Branches • Arrange meeting for all Faculty Advisors to Share Lessons Learned • Expand regular contact beyond UAH and AAMU
