Overview • Commercial Operations Group established 2005 (previously Distribution Commercial Group) • Many changes in past five years • DCUSA • Structure of Charges CDCM/ EDCM • Greater Reliance on Settlement information • Connections Issues • Need to better co-ordinate DNO activities to respond to stakeholder requests for change under common governance arrangements

  3. COG Areas of Interest • COG. To cover the areas identified above. • To become a coordinating group with specific experts in each area. Reports to Regulation Managers Group • Chairs of any subgroup to attend COG as required • Secretarial and administration support from the ENA

  4. Settlements • Increasingly important area for DNOs regarding DUoS billing and losses reporting. • Subgroup of ‘sales reporting’ managers to monitor/ identify issues arising from settlements. • Gain DNO representation on relevant Elexon committees • Representative to meet regularly and actively propose change in BSC and associated procedures where necessary. 7 October 2010 4 | Energy Networks Association

Connections/ CCCM • Following implementation of Common Connections Charging Methodology (CCCM) DNOs need to consider future governance with other stakeholders. • Need to co-ordinate future changes to CCCM and the common charging template. • Need to address collective issues from the Electricity Connections Steering Group (ECSG) – an Ofgem led group. 7 October 2010 5 | Energy Networks Association

  6. EDCM/ CDCM • Change Control for CDCM/ EDCM under DCUSA. Annual review led at DCMF. • Formal changes progressed by Working Groups under DCUSA. • Group will support the EDCM/ CDCM change processes. 7 October 2010 6 | Energy Networks Association

  7. DCUSA • DNOs have two Panel Members supported by two alternates • Group of all DNOs to co-ordinate DNO representation on DCUSA working groups. • Group to consider potential modification proposals to support both overall framework and other industry initiatives. 7 October 2010 7 | Energy Networks Association
