Zorbing - Why You Should Try It As Soon As Possible Zorbing is the newest thing! Have you ever got that impulse to try something exciting and new? Something extreme and fun that would just make you feel hyped and free at the same time? Like the freedom of feeling your body carried away by the wind! Or the feeling of floating in the air or speeding down a steep slope, all of them combined into one unique sensation! Luckily, there is a new extreme sport available worldwide that promotes this: zorbing! Using only a transparent plastic giant sphere, some water, and a plain hill, zorbing has become the favorite activity of many adventurous people. There are also various ways of practicing it. Whether you choose to try Downhill Zorbing, Flatland Zorbing or Water Zorbing, each of these variants will pump you up with excitement and adrenaline. Downhill Zorbing There are two types of orbs or human-sized hamster balls: harnessed and non- harnessed. The former category can carry only one or two riders while the latter can accept maximum one more rider. However, in the non-harnessed spheres, riders can bounce a lot more because there is no belt to keep them in place.
Inside the big sphere, there is another orb, but much smaller. You get inside the smaller orb and the ball is then pushed along the slope of a hill. In some cases the operators pour water in it, and then you and your friends can crawl inside and start your ride. The inflatable hamster balls are made out of thick smooth plastic so that riders may not feel the bumps or get hurt while they are rolling down the hill. Harnessed Zorbing In this other version of zorbing, you and your friends will be strapped inside the smaller orb using some special “seats” equipped with harnesses. You will be suspended on the walls of the inner ball, which means that you will be feeling fewer bumps as you roll down the hill or level surface. However, you will be turning upside down in all directions as the ball rolls, for the entire ride. This experience is said to come close to feeling what an astronaut experiences when floating in space. Hydrozorbing The water version of zorbing is considered the most relaxing of all. It is similar to downhill rolling, since as water is poured inside the smaller hamster ball. You crawl inside the orb, but you don’t tumble anymore. Instead, you slip and slide on the surface of the water. Water Zorbing Water zorbing is pretty much placing your inflatable giant hamster ball on the surface of the water. Then once you run inside the ball you start moving it along and rolling it on the water surface. The same type of thing can be achieved in a water ball (a close relative to the original human hamster ball). There are many reasons why you should go Zorbing at least once in your life. First of all, it is both an individual and a group activity, which means that you can have fun with your friends in the same orb, at the same time.
A plus, is that it offers many related sports and activities, such as Zorb Football or Water Walking, and all the other variants mentioned above. In fact, Water Walking is a lot similar to Water Zorbing, except that the orb does not contain water anymore. The experience resembles a hamster running in a wheel. As for Zorbing Football or Bubble Bump Football, it is a fun football game in which players have to be encased in inflated transparent spheres. And they all bounce into one another get tossed around and roll randomly and play football at the same time. It is hilarious. Zorbing is the perfect choice for an adventure enthusiast, but it is also a family activity that encourages even eight-year-old children to enjoy the rides! Check it out at: www.zorbingtime.com
