  4. Goal-setting Theory It works by focussing attention on action, mobilising effort, increasing persistence, & encouraging the development of strategy to achieve goals.

  5. Goal-Setting Theory Goal Difficulty Extent to which a goal is challenging and requires effort.

  6. Goal-Setting Theory Goal Specificity Clarity and precision of the goal.

  7. Goal-Setting Theory Goal Acceptance Extent to which persons accept a goal as their own.
