WHAT IS DFYIT? • “DFYIT” (Drug Free Youth in Town) is a free, school-based, voluntary, anti-drug Club for high school teens. • In DFYIT, teens thrive, drug free, in a Club run by teens, for teens.
The Goal? • Provide a positive peer network that supports healthy choices and a drug-free lifestyle.
How Does it Work? • School personnel and city staff work with teen leaders (Club officers) on local high school campuses to develop, coordinate, and supervise on-campus events, community service projects and educational workshops that promote a drug free lifestyle. On campus Club meetings are held regularly to discuss drug-related issues and to highlight local supportive services.
Who Can Join? • Membership is not only voluntary but it is FREE to any student attending a school where there is a DFYIT chapter. • Member Requirements • Attend meeting regularly • Submit to random drug testing • Participate in community service activities • Member Benefits • Drug Free Peers/Environment • Community Service Hours • Attend District/School Events • Cool T-shirts!
